Two years ago, I went on a trip with my class and other classes of my school.
We first went to London in a plane. That night, Tania and I went out of our room, (Tania is the person who I shared my room with) and we forgot our keys inside! We had to ask for two new keys in the hotel’s reception.
The next day, we and the other students visited a lot of places (British Museum, Science Museum, Piccadilly Circus…)
The next place we visited was Paris. The first morning, Tania and I got up late. We activated the alarm of the clock. The alarm sounded, but the time of the clock was London time… (an hour earlier). We forgot to change the time!
We visited Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, Disneyland, and other places.
The last day, we were in Barcelona. There, I bought a couple of shoes that I wanted and I didn’t find in Cartagena.
In the evening we were back.
I missed my family, and I bought presents for everybody!
It was an exciting adventure, but I was glad to get back home!

Dr Atkins' diet
1. What did Dr Atkins’ diet consist of and how was it received by doctors and ordinary people?
According to the text, Dr Atkins said that an appropriate diet must include meat, cheese and eggs, but it mustn’t include some food like bread, rice or fruit. Most doctors didn’t agree with this diet, because it elevates cholesterol levels and could affect negatively to people health.
However, Dr Atkins’s books were sold to more than 25 million people.
2. Do you think people should watch their weight?
In my opinion, people should watch their weight, because this is important not only for esthetic, but also for health.
I think we must have an appropriate diet and eat all food (meat, fish, eggs, bread, vegetables, fruits... and we can eat sweets in some occasions too!)
We must eat a bit of all foods and do some exercise.

5.Was the selling of CocaCola very successful in its first year?
Coca Cola, that was invented in 1886 by the pharmacist John Pemberton, didn’t have a success the first year.
Coca Cola was first sold in Jacob’s Pharmacy. Nine drink servings were sold each day approximately.
In the beginning, the cost to produce it, which was around $70, was bigger than its sales ($ 50).
6.Which is your favorite soft drink and in which occasions do you usually have it?
My favorite soft drink is Orange Fanta.
I drink water, milk and pineapple juice every day, but I also have Fanta and other soft drinks in some occasions like birthdays, Christmas and other celebrations.
In summary, I like Fanta but I hardly ever drink it!

School holidays could be much longer. Discuss.
Most people think that holidays are too long, however, other people agree with holiday duration, and, what’s more, they think holidays could be much longer. Here are some arguments:
Holidays mustn’t be longer because working parents haven’t enough time for their children.
Furthermore, teachers have more free time that other people, and this isn’t fair.
On the other hand, teachers say that they haven’t much longer holidays than other people, because they have to prepare their lessons in July.
In addition, students have to rest enough time. This way, they will be started the new year better. Obviously, students agree with this!

The main differences between these materials are that graphite is darker and softer than lead.
Furthermore it is more breakable (it needed a holder).

From my point of view, pencils are so popular because they are light and you can take them everywhere. They can be used to writing or drawing, and there are many types of them.

This is me
Hello! I’m Yolanda. I’m sixteen years old. Cartagena (Spain) is the place where I live.
I’ve got an older brother and an older sister. I live with my parents and my sister.
I think I’m hard-working and I’m a good girl but I’m not affectionate. I’m a bit shy too.
My favorite color is green. Some of my hobbies are using Internet, going out with my friends and listening to music. My favorite kind of music is pop-rock. Also, I love watching TV series.
I’m studying at IES MEDITERRÁNEO, and this is my last year there. English, Language, Economics and Philosophy are some subjects I like.
When I’ve finished all my school exams, I want to go to university. I hope to make new friends (and keep my old friends, of course!). I want to be a teacher, and I hope to be lucky.
